Peggy Gou – Once Album Review

South Korean DJ Peggy Gou is a fairly new name in the electronic music scene, but nevertheless, a force to be reckoned with in the international electronic music scene.

Her new EP tiled ‘Once’ is the follow up to her original work in 2016 ‘Seek For Maktoop’. The album sound is the perfect balance of the body and soul.

The first track, “It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)” is a very slick track and consists of simple melodies. What makes it even more special is that she sings in Korean for the first time in her music. Her voice doesn’t overpower the track but instead pulls in the listener to admire the production which consists of a hint of acid and smooth synths.

Her next track, “Hundres Times” is pretty chilled and fun! It has a mix of melodies – which sets the perfect mood. These bouncy melodies and addictive hand claps, make Hundred Times perfect escape for the listener that make it hard to avoid being immersed in the track.

Han Jan ends the album on a strong note. This deep moody vibe is deceptively brilliant and Gou’s vocals to the catchy beats makes it one hell of a track.
