Welcome to paradise. After checking into your hotel, you will get the rundown of your Beats Retreat Week. Let yourself relax and de-stress with our onsite Yoga Shala that overlooks the jungle, river, and pool. After meeting the rest of the crew we will head out for our first traditional Sri Lankan meal and music night.
On our Sri Lanka retreat, each morning or afternoon you will get the chance to Surf, Paddle Board or take part in yoga classes. Whether you want a bit of a sleep in or to explore your surrounding, the morning is yours. In the afternoon you will take part in an activity of your choice. Ride the waves or find your zen, it’s whatever you feel like. The evening lights up with a downtime campfire night with the rest of your retreaters. Enjoy a night of chilled music over your Sri Lankan campfire and an evening Cooking Class.
Sri Lanka is well known for its exotic spices and tea. On day 3 after a morning activity, we explore the surrounding areas and really get off the beaten track. Who knows, you may be lucky enough to see an elephant or two in this magnificent country. At nighttime, we hit the town for some live music and good times.
To get to today’s location we ride a local Sri Lankan train and get a feel of how the locals do it. The South Coast of Sri Lanka is steeped in both local and Dutch / Portuguese colonial history. Today we explore the cobbled streets of Galle and scale the historic walls, giving a feeling that you are at the end of the earth.
We head to the popular beach of Mirissa. This place is as close to paradise as you get. Today you get the option to laze on the beach with a few cocktails or take our optional trip out to sea. Chance your luck on meeting one of the most magnificent animals in the world, The Blue Whale. In the evening we will go for dinner and drinks at one of our favourite hangouts on the South Coast.
By day 6 you should feel at one with the waves on our private beach, so today we have an exciting road trip set up for you. Forget busses, forget trains, forget planes. Today we are doing a surfing Tuk Tuk Tour around the coast and some of the best beaches. On the way back to the hotel we stop off at the local Turtle sanctuary.
Today is your last day to get in your daily morning or afternoon activities. As it’s the final day, we let you relax to your heart’s content until the second wave of activities is over. During your last retreat sundown, we have a very special inclusion which is DJ lessons with our Beats Travel affiliate. Get into the beats and get ready for your last party on your Sri Lanka retreat.
